The scientific community has generally regarded the Yeti as a legend, given the lack of conclusive evidence, and it remains one of the most famous creatures of cryptozoology.
Yeti in State of JeffersonEdit
When China invaded Tibet in 1959, many yeti were forced into exile, and those that stayed were subject to horrible treatment by the Chinese government. In August, 1979, the Yeti Lama made a trip to the U.S. state of Jefferson to meet briefly with the state governor, Bill Williamson. He lamented that the Chinese called the yeti "snowmen", and treated them abominably.
