Winifred Burbage (c. 1570-1642) was the wife of Richard Burbage, one of the most famous English actors of the late 16th and early 17th centuries. After his death, she married another actor, Richard Robinson. Little else is recorded about her, and even her maiden name is unknown.
During the English rebellion of October 1598, Winifred Burbage locked herself and her children in their London home while the carnage raged just outside. After the violence died down, she was overjoyed by the sight of her husband, accompanied by his friend, walking home to meet her, as she had feared them killed in the battle.
