Captain Wechsler was a German liaison officer in occupied India. The day after the Qutb Road Massacre, he informed Marshal Model's adjutant, Major Dieter Lasch, that the native serving crew had all gone on strike in accordance with Mohandas Gandhi's tactic of Satyagraha.
