Harry Turtledove has depicted two alternate history versions of the United States Presidential election of the year 1936.

The 1936 election as depicted in the Southern Victory series, in which Socialist challenger Al Smith faces incumbent Democrat Herbert Hoover.
The 1936 election as depicted in Joe Steele (both the novel and the story) in which Democratic incumbent Joe Steele defeated Republican challenger Alf Landon.

Aside from these two specific versions, most Turtledove works feature a point of departure after 1936, and so the 1936 election in those works is identical to OTL.
