The United States of Atlantis (Roc, December 2, 2008) is the second novel in Harry Turtledove's Atlantis Series.
The United States of Atlantis abandons the novella-collection format of Opening Atlantis in favor of a full-length novel dealing exclusively with the Atlantean War of Independence, covering a three-year period. (Contrast this to the three-century period covered by the previous volume.) It is a single-POV work, with Victor Radcliff returning (his opening scene comes more than a decade after his final scene in the previous book) to provide the viewpoint of the narrative.
As is common in Turtledove's work, The United States of Atlantis makes use of parallels to OTL (principally the American Revolution) mixed with ideas unique to the fictional world he has created.
