Tealdo was an Algarvian soldier present at many key events in the early stages of the Derlavaian War.

He was among the initial company who took part in the bloodless annexation/liberation the Duchy of Bari. Leter he took part in the successful invasion of Sibiu, where the through preparation and training and the use of unorthodox tactics ensured a quick and easy victory. Several more episodes gave Tealdo and his fellow soldiers the false impression that they were involved in an easy victorious war against inferior enemies.

When Algarve began its attack on Unkerlant, this impression was initially reinforced as Tealdo's company marched quickly through the southern part of the country. However, Tealdo witnessed - and fatally experienced - the increasingly difficult and harsh character of the war he was involved in. His unit got within sight of the capital, Cottbus before being turned away by a fierce counterattack. The Algarvians would never get that close again - which Tealdo would never know, having lost his life at the point of their furthest penetration, shortly after the death of his commander Captain Galafrone.

Two years later, during the bitterly fought battle of Sullingen, Trasone, Tealdo's friend and comrade, recalled Tealdo and reflected that Tealdo may have been the luckier one. Soon afterwards, Trasone was killed himself.
