He does seem a "logical" choice. If I'd been paying attention to his death date, I could have saved myself some typing.
He'd be a logical choice if still alive. What I don't know is whether Lewis Powell/Payne's knife attack contributed to Seward's death. If it did, HT might have kept him around till 1882; but I've got a feeling it didn't.Turtle Fan 02:48, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
