Perhaps time to revisit my "baseball stories category" idea. TR 16:36, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

On second thought, let's go one step further and just make "baseball" a giant parent category. TR 17:05, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
Sounds good.
Forgot about this guy. He'd held the all-time American pro single season record to Bonds inched him out in '01. Turtle Fan 20:06, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
Nice of HT to dust him off in a charming bauble of a story. TR 20:35, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
I'll read it later. These fun little online pieces have really carried him tyhis year. Turtle Fan 20:43, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
Indeed. I'm particularly happy to still have access to new short-forms since I no longer have easy access to the pulp mags. I did pay for the online copy with BiDM, but that was probably a one time event. TR 21:38, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
I tried to find it in print at the bookstore. I had the appropriate issue of the appropriate mag (don't remember what that was now but I do know I checked it against our records then) and it wasn't there. I do want to find BIDM, though. Turtle Fan 23:56, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Well that was a pleasant story. I'm always a little thrown by a story that starts with such an unbelievably detailed first scene and then rushes through everything else. "Yeah, he hit lots of home runs and shit. The end." Turtle Fan 05:15, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
