Publication history from Silver's website:
- Universe 10, edited by Terry Carr, Doubleday 1980
- Alternate Americas, edited by Gregory Benford & Martin H. Greenberg, Bantam 1992
- Departures, Del Rey 1993
Also, the April 1987 Asimov's does not list this story. I believe its in error. If you agree, I will change the article to reflect Silver's info. ML4E 20:44, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
You're probably right. I know the story was sold to a magazine that folded before the actual publication, so I might have gotten confused as to where it actually finally saw publiation.TR 21:21, September 25, 2011 (UTC)- Actually, ignore all of the above. I just reviewed and found it was "Death in Vesunna" that has this history. Not sure how I confused DiV with RSPQL, but I'm totally wrong. TR 21:26, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
- They're both in Departures, and none too far from one another. . . . ? Turtle Fan 00:42, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
Interestingly enough, it was Silver who first wrote that it was published in Asimov's. ML4E 20:28, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
