I was the one who asked Turtledove about that statement!!!!! It was me, Andy Bethune! I was using the nick Canucker at the time. -Baiter

? Not sure I get it... (Btw you can use the spoiler template just do a { { spoiler } }, without the all thoses space)-Redem

I mean I asked Turtledove a question one time!!! And now I can talk about it in the article! I'm Canucker! -Baiter

Oh I see - Redem

He's Canucker? And he once asked Turtledove a question? How exciting!! I never thought I'd feel this level of empathy with Redem, of all people. Turtle Fan 20:14, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

On to more important affairs: Doesn't the criticism belong in one of the Trivia sections? Turtle Fan 20:14, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

While I think we could probably work the schism issue onto the inconsistencies page, I think critical analysis about a given story is best kept with the article on said-story. TR 00:25, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

POD date[]

I haven't read this story in years and I don't have it to hand. On numerous (Wiki) pages, the POD is given as the Byzantine Empire falling to Muslim invasions in the 7th Century yet the Fictional and Historical Character templates give it as 718, which is obviously the 8th Century. Which is correct? GusF (talk) 22:18, February 18, 2014 (UTC)

The POD is the successful siege of Constantinople by Suleiman ibn Abd al-Malik in 717 so the POD should be early in the 8th century. I guess I (or whoever else) did the articles goofed and used 7th for 700s. ML4E (talk) 22:54, February 18, 2014 (UTC)
Thank you very much. I'll fix them now. GusF (talk) 00:29, February 19, 2014 (UTC)
