"Shmuel Grynszpan" was the name of a character portrayed by a German actor in the tourist Shtetl of Wawolnice. He was an undertaker, and probably the richest Jew in town. According to the narrative of the village, Grynszpan was one of the few people wealthy enough to have indoor plumbing installed.
