Rumsey is a town in in Kentucky, near Calhoun. It is named for James Rumsey, one of the possible inventors of the steamboat.

Rumsey was directly across the James Bethel Gresham Memorial Bridge from Calhoun. In 1943, Rumsey was captured by a platoon of American barrels commanded by Lieutenant Michael Pound.
