Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy (July 22, 1890 - January 22, 1995) was the wife of Joseph P. Kennedy and the mother of his nine children, including aviator Joseph P. Kennedy Jr., President John F. Kennedy, and politician Robert Kennedy.
Rose Kennedy was a devout Irish-Catholic. She supported her ambitious husband and quietly tolerated his many extra-marital affairs.
She once baby-sat George Enos, Jr. and his sister Mary Jane so that their mother, Sylvia, could join her husband at a Democratic Party fundraiser. While they were out, Joe propositioned Sylvia, but she refused him.
Rose Kennedy's son Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. was a US fighter pilot during the Second Great War.
