The Red Banner was the Party newspaper of the Italian People's Republic. Annarita Crosetti paid as little attention to the paper as she could since it was especially filled with propaganda.
Maria Tenace brought a copy of the Red Banner to Crosetti to show her an article about the Security Police's seizure of The Conductor's Cap. The paper indicated eight people had been arrested for trying to set up a corporation but the shop staff who had inspired them had escaped.[1]
