Prince Arthur Albert, 1st Duke of Connaught and Strathearn (1 May 1850 - 16 January 1942) was the third son of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. He was Governor-General of Canada during part of World War I.
Prince Arthur Albert in Southern Victory[]
Prince Arthur Albert was the British Governor-General of the Dominion of Canada when the Great War began in 1914,[1] until the United States defeated and occupied Canada, and severed it from British affairs, in 1917. Thus, Arthur Albert was the last Governor-General of the Dominion.[2]
