Panzerschreck ("tank fear") was the popular name for the Raketenpanzerbüchse (abbreviated to RPzB), an 88 mm calibre reusable anti-tank rocket launcher developed by NaziGermany in World War II. Another popular nickname was Ofenrohr ("stove pipe")
The Panzerschreck was a popular terrorist weapon among the German Freedom Front. US General George Patton was killed in a Panzerschreck attack in September 1945.
The Panzerschreck was introduced to the German infantry in their war againstthe Race. It wasn't powerful enough to penetrate the armour of Landcruisers from front on but it was more than effective against the front armour of Troopcarriers. Landcruiser crews ended up with a particular hatred for Germans who used this weapon.
