Onogon was the shaman of the Gray Horse Arshaum clan, serving under the Khagan Arghun. He was in favor of an alliance with the Empire of Videssos, publicly ridiculing Bogoraz, the Yezda envoy. As a result, Bogoraz poisoned him in an attempt to reduce Videssos' esteem among the clan's elders.
The spell he used to ensure that the envoys were pure of heart still worked even after his death, consuming Bogoraz with sorcerous flames when the latter attempted to murder Arghun after Arghun chose to side with Videssos.
His replacement as clan shaman was Tolui.
