Nueva Galicia was an island 40 miles south-east of the Big Muddy River delta, in the Bay of Mexico. It was the home of Mount Isabella, an active volcano. As its name implied, Nueva Galicia had been settled by Galicians in the late 15th century, not long after the discovery of Atlantis.[1]
