North Africa is a large section of Africa encompassing the Sahara Desert.

North Africa was conquered by the Germany during the Second World War. It was an integral part of the Greater German Reich.

When the Race's Conquest Fleet arrived in 1942, Germany and Britain were vying for control of North Africa in a front of World War II. However, its desert climate made it one of the few areas of Earth comfortable for the Race, and Soon after the Conquest Fleet landed, its forces overran the area and held it on a permanent basis. Cairo, the capital city of the Race's colonial government on Tosev 3, is in North Africa.
