Nicole Galtier O'Doull (b. 1894) was the eldest daughter of Lucien and Marie Galtier. She grew up on a Quebecois farm outside the small town of Riviere-du-Loup. During the Great War, the occupying United States Army established a hospital on her family's farm, and Nicole worked there as a nurse. There she met Dr. Leonard O'Doull, whom she married.

The couple had one child, Lucien O'Doull, a boy named for Nicole's father. She was the only member of her family to have just one child.

She opposed her husband's decision to rejoin the US Army during the Second Great War, but frequently wrote to him at the front nonetheless.
