Mount Olympus is the tallest mountain in Greece and the second tallest mountain in the Balkans. According to Ancient Greek Mythology, the mountain was home to the Greek Gods and Goddesses, ruled by Zeus.

Andromeda later married Perseus on Olympus.

Several centuries after Christianity became the dominant religion of Greece, Zeus had apparently ceased to exist for want of worshipers - or possibly he was still there on top of Mount Olympus but no longer daring to venture into the world.
