Mooers is a town in Clinton County, New York, United States. The population was 3,404 at the 2000 census. The town is named after Benjamin Mooers, an early settler.

Mooers in Southern VictoryEdit

Mooers was close to the border with the Republic of Quebec and just south of Montreal. Because of its location, a major railroad line connecting the two countries ran through Mooers and so the U.S. established a Customs Inspection post in town. In 1941, Dr. Leonard O'Doull was detained briefly by customs inspectors while his story of rejoining the U.S. Army Medical Corps was checked out.
