The Midland Indians were a baseball team in the minor Longhorn League from 1947-1955. The following season, they moved to La Mesa in 1956, and went defunct in 1958.

Midland Indians in "The Star and the Rockets"Edit

During a game between the Midland Indians and the Roswell Rockets on September 3, 1954, Rockets player Joe Bauman was able to tie the national homerun record of 69. This was the last home game for the Rockets, and so Bauman broke the record on the road.
