Mashiz was the capital of the Yezda.
Previously, Mashiz was the capital of former Makuran, before the Yezd invasion. During the days when Makuran was the sole threat for the Empire of Videssos, the empire made many attempts to sack the city and even succeeded once. But Makuran never fell completely to the Videssians. It was a glorious and beautiful city, enough to rival Videssos the city.
But after the fall of Makuran to the Yezda, Mashiz was adopted as the capital city and gathering point for the nomads.
