The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a small landlocked parliamentary republic in Western Europe. It is bordered by France, Germany, and Belgium. Consequently, Luxembourg was invaded by Germany during both World Wars, and was actually annexed by the Greater German Reich during World War II. It was liberated in 1945.

Luxembourg is a founding member of the European Union, NATO, and several other multinational organziations.

Luxembourg had been occupied by Germany before the Race Invasion. As part of the terms of the Peace of Cairo of 1944, Luxembourg remained part of the German Reich. In the aftermath of the Race-German War of 1965, Luxembourg regained its independence.
