Lucy's Husband
Fictional Character
"We Haven't Got There Yet"
Set in OTL (?)
Type of Appearance: Direct, unnamed
Nationality: England
Date of Birth: 16th century
Spouse: Lucy

Lucy and her husband attended a production of Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead at The Rose in London in 1606. Her husband asked Lucy whether they had seen the play before when he recognised a line lifted from William Shakespeare's Hamlet. Lucy remarked that she couldn't remember one play from the next, but that theatergoing did provide a pleasant afternoon diversion. The husband then proceeded to tease Lucy about her expensive tastes by remarking on the ermine cloak worn by the king on stage.

Later on, both Lucy and her husband were surprised when Shakespeare himself laughed unexpectedly at a line about whether a character was a real person.
