Louise was a Negro slave woman belonging to French-Atlantean landholder Marcel Freycinet.[1] In 1777 Victor Radcliff bedded her after becoming very drunk off French brandy provided by the Marquis de La Fayette.[2] She gave birth to his son, Nicholas.[3] Radcliff offered to buy Louise and Nicholas from Monsieur Freycinet so that he could in turn emancipate them, but the Frenchman politely declined.[4]
The child, Nicholas, sired Frederick Radcliff, the slave who successfully led the Atlantean Servile Insurrection and ended slavery in Atlantis.[5]
