Liberty Island, formerly called Bedloe's Island, is a small uninhabited island in Upper New York Bay in the United States, between New York City and New Jersey, and best known as the location of the Statue of Liberty. The islands of Liberty and Ellis are classified as parts of the Statue of Liberty National Monument.
