Kudurru was a land located in a hot desert region between the Yarmuk and the Diyala rivers. Like its neighboring lands, the cities of Kudurru had their own gods, in addition to the broader pantheon the people of Kudurru worshiped. Some of those cities were ruled by their gods directly, other by high priests. Still others were ruled by human lords with little influence from the gods. The actions of the city of Gibil created conflict within Kudurru.
The people of Kudurru were swarthy with dark hair and eyes.
