Kirkwall was a town in the Atlantean state of Croydon. It was fifty miles north of the city of Croydon. At the close of the Atlantean War of Independence, infamous traitor Habakkuk Biddiscombe and his so-called "Horsed Legion" fled to Kirkwall. While plenty there were willing to immediately execute Biddiscombe, Victor Radcliff vetoed the plan, and had Biddiscombe brought back to the city of Croydon for a trial.^[1]
