Kingman is a city in and the county seat of Kingman County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 3,177.

Kingman in Southern Victory

During the Great War, a Confederate cavalry company led by Captain Hiram Lincoln attacked a rail line several miles to the west of Kingman. They dynamited the US line then manually tore up a length of track setting the ties on fire and warping rails by placing them into the fire. A US armored car was able to wipe out a third of Lincoln's men before it was destroyed.[1]
