Julian Jaynes (1920-1997) was an American psychologist and author whose theories of bicameralism and the development of human consciousness, first written in the 1970s, were used to explain much of the history of human development.

Although initially controversial, Julian Jaynes' theories were proven by the discovery of a planet just beginning the creation of civilized societies in the mid twenty-second century. Scientists Ramon Castillo and Xing Mei-lin confirmed Jaynes' hypothesis after observing the thought patterns of the people of one village, Kussara, and their movement towards consciousness.
