Julia Laura Jackson (November 23, 1862-1889) was the daughter of famed Confederate General Thomas Jackson and his second wife Mary. She was six months old when her father was killed. Julia married and had two children, but died of typhoid in 1889.

Julia Jackson in Southern Victory Edit

Julia Jackson and her younger brother Jonathan accompanied their father when he went out to the field during the Second Mexican War (1881-1882). A pretty girl, Julia enjoyed the attention of the men under her father's command paid her. However, the presence of Stonewall Jackson was enough to scatter would-be suitors, much to Julia's annoyance.[1]
