Jeb Stuart, Jr (b 1860) was a Confederate officer. He was the son of Jeb Stuart.
Stuart first came to prominence as a lieutenant of infantry in Thomas Jackson's Army of Kentucky at the Battle of Louisville in the Second Mexican War. Between his family connections and his own native military talents, Stuart climbed through the ranks quickly, and by the Great War he was a general on the General Staff. It was during the war that he began his feud with Jake Featherston when he blamed Featherston and Clarence Potter for the death of his son, Jeb Stuart III. Featherston in turn saw Stuart as a symbol of everything that was wrong with the Confederacy, an aristocratic parasite who led the CS into a losing war.
Stuart opposed the Freedom Party's rise and personally visited Featherston to boast of the Party's temporary fall from prestige following Grady Calkins's assassination of President Wade Hampton V. However, Featherston had the last laugh when, as President, he sacked Stuart permanently and smeared the family name all across the CSA.
