Jürgen Voss (d. 1946) was a German veteran of World War II, serving as part of the conquest of France in 1940, and then on the Eastern Front in from 1941-43. He was injured in the Soviet Union. As Germany was defeated, he joined the German Freedom Front. In 1946, Voss, disguised as an American, detonated a truck-bomb (and himself) under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, toppling the tower into the Seine.^[1]
