Jürgen Stroop, (born Josef Stroop, 26 September 1895 - 6 March 1952) was an SS-Gruppenführer und Generalleutnant der Waffen-SS und Polizei, who served as the SS and Police Leader and oversaw the response to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943, which effectively leveled the ghetto. After World War II, Stroop was convicted of war crimes by first the Allied Forces, and then the government of Poland. He was executed by the Poles in 1952.

Jürgen Stroop in "The Last Article"Edit

Jürgen Stroop was transferred to India in 1947. He congratulated Walther Model on his handling of protesters in Qutb Road. Model despised Stroop, and was disgusted with the lax behavior that had led to the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, although he shared none of this with Stroop.
