Hyman Apfelbaum was the Attorney General of Jefferson during the governorship of Bill Williamson. During Williamson's meeting with Nobuo Fujita, he reflected that Apfelbaum had flown 31 missions over Europe in 1944 in a B-17 Flying Fortress. After the war, he toured Germany, getting by on his Yiddish.
