Houston is a major city in the southern part of the state of Texas, a short distance south of Humble. It was here that Raymond Pinkard, the son of Jefferson Pinkard was born in 1944. Jefferson Pinkard was imprisoned and executed in Houston in 1945.

Note: The city of Houston was never within the borders of the State of Houston.
