Greenland is a member country of the Kingdom of Denmark located between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago.

Greenland was home to both American and British weather stations. Military garrisons guarding these stations frequently engaged in small skirmishes during the Second Great War.

A former Danish colony, Greenland's ties to Denmark were severed when Denmark was conquered by Germany at the outset of World War II. The Allied Forces occupied Greenland during the war and the subsequent war against the Race's Conquest Fleet. After the war, under the terms of the Peace of Cairo, with the Danish government defunct when its territory was absorbed into the Greater German Reich, Greenland was given to joint American/Canadian administration.
