Georges Braque (13 May 1882 – 31 August 1963) was a major 20th century French painter and sculptor who, along with Pablo Picasso, developed the art movement known as Cubism.

Georges Braque in Southern VictoryEdit

In 1914, Anne Colleton sponsored an exhibit of modern art on loan from Paris' art schools. The exhibit, which was showcased at her plantation house on Marshlands, near St. Matthews, South Carolina, included several Georges Braque pieces.[1]
