George Sutherland (1862-1942) was an English-born United States jurist and political figure. He served as an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court between 1922 and 1938. Prior to his appointment, Sutherland had served as a Congressman and then Senator from Utah.

George Sutherland (1862-1933) was one of the so-called "Gang of Four", four Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn most of the legislation passed as part of President Joe Steele's Four-Year Plan to rebuild the American economy. Sutherland and the other Gang were investigated by J. Edgar Hoover, who found "evidence" that the judges were colluding with Nazi Germany to sabotage the United States.

Sutherland and his fellow justices were interrogated, and confessed to the charges. They were tried, convicted, and executed.
