Francisco "Frank" Gallardo (b. 1923) is a Cuban-American former professional baseball player. He fielded most of his career with various minor league teams from 1944 to 1956. In 1954, he and his nephew José, were both playing for the Artesia NuMexers. Joe Bauman of the Roswell Rockets hit his 72 homerun of the season off of a pitch from Frank Gallardo.

Literary CommentEdit

Frank Gallardo's role in "The Star and the Rockets" is identical to his role in OTL. Harry Turtledove spells Gallardo's last name as "Galardo," which may or may not be an inconsistency.
