Vancouver Island is a large island off the coast of British Columbia, Canada. Victoria, the provincial capital, is at the southern tip of the island.

In 1943, during the Second Great War, Confederate flyers landed on Vancouver Island and escaped back to Confederate territory with the help of Canadian resistance fighters after completing a raid designed to disrupt the United States' superbomb program in Hanford, Washington.
