The Staatsoper Unter Den Linden is a large opera house on the Unter den Linden Boulevard in Berlin, Germany. It is the home of the Berlin State Opera, a professional opera company which takes its name from the house itself.
Staatsoper in The War That Came Early[]
In 1939, Peggy Druce and Constantine Jenkins attended a performance of Richard Wagner's Tannhäuser at the Staatsoper, a date which resulted in the two having a one-off a sexual liaison. VIPs in attendance included Josef Goebbels and Hermann Göring.[1]
