Arnold Eric Sevareid (November 26, 1912 – July 9, 1992) was a CBS news journalist from 1939 to 1977.
Eric Sevareid attended a presidential press conference during World War III . President Truman told Sevareid that if the Russians struck America with atomic bombs again, then America would hurt the Russians even worse.[1]
Eric Sevareid in Worldwar [ ] Eric Sevareid was a network correspondent in Little Rock , the nation's capital, in 1965. When the Race destroyed Indianapolis in 1965, Sevareid expected to report on the government's response. Instead, he tearfully reported that President Earl Warren had committed suicide.[2]
Eric Sevareid was a U.S. news journalist during the Second Great War . In 1944, he became a news broadcaster for the U.S. Wireless Atlanta , reading the 7 pm news program. U.S. soldiers grew to prefer Sevareid to Confederate Connie .[3]
Sevareid was one of several journalists who interviewed Cassius Madison , the man who killed Jake Featherston , when Madison toured the U.S. later in 1944.[4]
