Lake Ontario is one of the five Great Lakes in North America along the eastern part of the U.S.-Canadian border between the state of New York and the province of Ontario.

Lake Ontario in Southern Victory[]

At the outset of the Great War, the U.S. sent a flotilla including several Great Lakes Battleships across Lake Ontario towards Toronto to invade Canada. However, the Canadians had sown mines on the lake, sinking both the USS Farragut and USS Perry making the lake too dangerous to use offensively.[1]

Lake Ontario in Worldwar[]

In 1943, Colonel Leslie Groves, escorted by Captain Rance Auerbach, crossed Lake Ontario aboard the Forward, landing in Ontario proper. The ship was inspected by a passing Lizard killercraft, but it did not attack.[2]
