Memphis is a city in the southwestern corner of the U.S. state of Tennessee, and the county seat of Shelby County. The city is located on the 4th Chickasaw Bluff, south of the confluence of the Wolf and Mississippi Rivers.

Memphis had a population of 655,155 in 2012 making it the largest city in the state of Tennessee, the largest city on the Mississippi River, the third largest in the Southeastern United States, and the 20th largest in the United States.

Memphis is named for the ancient city of Memphis, Egypt.

Memphis in Southern Victory[]

The US advance into Arkansas at the end of the Great War put Memphis under its guns. The city remained across the river from an expanded Missouri after the war.

Memphis in Supervolcano[]

After the Siberian Express struck Wayne, Nebraska, the storm moved southward towards Memphis, St. Louis and New Orleans, none of which were built for such a blizzard.[1]
