Greenville is a town in Piscataquis County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,646 at the 2010 census. The town is centered around the lower end of Moosehead Lake, the largest body of fresh water in the state.

Squirt Frog and the Evolving Tadpoles were on their way to a gig in Greenville, Maine when a serious traffic accident in a snow storm blocked traffic on the highway. Squirt Frog missed the concert, which was just as well, since the promoter confessed ticket sales were so low that cancelling the concert was preferable to continuing. The band turned around and stayed in Guilford where they became marooned for the winter.[1]
When Lindsey Kincaid married Rob Ferguson, her father came down for the wedding from Greenville and brought his girlfriend who was about Lindsey's age. This caused some consternation but nothing scandalous.[2]
