The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch (English: Stork) was a small German liaison aircraft built by Fieseler before and during World War II. Production continued in other countries into the 1950s for the private market. It remains famous to this day for its excellent STOL performance.

The Fieseler was used for general reconnaissance during World War II. Later when the Race arrived in mid 1942, it was also used by Soviet pilot Ludmila Gorbunova when she was stranded in Poland. Although she loved the visibility the nearly all glass cockpit gave, she thought it's controls overly complicated.
