Evstratios Garidas (Latinized as Eustratius Garidas) was the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople between 1081 and 1084. A eunuch and an Eastern Orthodox monk, Garidas was given the position by Byzantine Emperor Alexios I Komnenos through the actions of the emperor's mother. Surviving accounts suggest Garidas was uneducated and gullible. His brief term was marred by accusations of wrong-doing and even heresy. While he was ultimately cleared, he nonetheless stepped down from the patriarchy.

Evstratios Garidas in "Two Thieves"[]

Like everyone who lived and died on planet Earth, Evstratios Garidas was resurrected after his death with a physical age of 25 on Riverworld. He became the Ecumenical Patriarch of New Constantinople under the reign of Basileus Alexios Komnenos. A eunuch in his earthly life, Garidas was resurrected in an intact body with his testicles restored. This led him to break his vows of chastity, although he remained otherwise quite pious.

Garidas anointed Richard J. Daley as the kaisar of New Constantinople.[1]
